2020: Albums of the Year (#20 - 11)

Last batch before the top ten... Click the album title to listen, enjoy!

"The whole is better than the sum of its parts" could very well be applied here... Fantastic stuff...

Shabaka completes his hattrick for Impulse! with this gem...

Our favourite Norwegian got many helping hands from his very talented extended family, resulting in this excellent release...

Ackamoor assembled a new gang of Pyramids for their most melancholic and reflective album to date...

Perfect threesome involving jazz, broken beat and hiphop... Highly addictive, if you ask me...

15. Steve Spacek - Houses (Black Focus)
Spacek's predominantly instrumental new album (his first for Black Focus) is his most straightfoward release in ages...

Two of the Deenamode brothers fused the music of their ancestors with the music of their youth...

Our favourite Finn reassembled the team behind 'Order of Nothingness' to produce this worthy successor...

It took me a while to really connect with this album, but when I finally did it was so rewarding... Another great release by one of the most interesting bands of the last couple of years...

Mr. Wu can't seem to chose between broken beat electronics, jazz-funk and soulful R&B. We thank him for his indecisiveness...
