For this week's episode of Smoke Breaks, we proudly present Swiss producer drwn.. The beatmaker began studying black music at a young age through his uncle's huge vinyl collection and graduated to the likes of Dilla, Madlib and Brainfeeder-cats like FlyLo, Samiyam and Daedelus via De La Soul and A Tribe Called Quest.
Inspired by their sound and eager to try creating his own, he got his hands on Logic 9 and started making beats. After posting countless tracks on soundcloud and tapes to bandcamp while making connections to like-minded people all over the globe, drwn. started to create a name for himself in the lo-fi beatscene and landed a deal with German label Vinyl Digital - allowing him to focus on making music more than ever.
Having just released his excellent new 'seesea'-EP, he's currently working on his next vinyl release - a follow-up to 2016's 'Mangoes' - and a 7-inch that will feature emcees. On top of that, he has a series of small beat batches in the works, and is preparing projects with other producers...
