For this week's episode of Smoke Breaks, we turned to Brighton born producer and Shimmy Records-head honcho Luke Nyeke aka El. Train.
Known for his ability to blend together hiphop, R&B and future beats, the beatmaker has been making waves for a couple of years now. While establishing himself as a force to be reckoned with through EP's like 'Origins', 'Golden Slums', 'Lucid' and 'Somewhere Between', and production work for Sinead Harnett, Miki Rose and others, he developed his own Shimmy-imprint to release music by other talented folks like Axion117, Entheogenesis, DOC Mastermind and Emamkay.
His own music has received critical acclaim from Soulection Radio, Rinse FM and NTS, and he has gotten the chance to show off his DJ skills on stages across Europe and South Africa, including the prestigious Glastonbury Festival.
