2022: Albums of the Year (#10 - 1)

We've arrived at the top ten: these are our absolute favourite records of 2022.
There's dirty boogie and slacker soul from Germany, the formidable debut of two jazz-not-jazz prodigies, the psychedelic library sound of a one man orchestra, African diaspora distilled into music and the expansion of Quelle Chris' alternative hiphop empire. We also got a soundtrack for lazy afternoons in Neapolitan bars and one for nights at otherwordly clubs.
Finally, we round up with some nice and chunky psychedelic funk from Bristol, some delicious salsa dura by a seventies band living inside the head of the inimitable Eblis Alvarez and the unrivalled beauty of Kelly Finnigan & Co.'s masterclass in soul music.
Do yourself a favour and give these records a listen by clicking the album title. You'll love 'em. Make sure to spend some of your hard-earned moneyz on these cats. They deserve it. Enjoy!
