For this new episode of Smoke Breaks, we got in touch with Toulouse-based production collective Puzo, Yagz, Huté & Darif aka La Cantina. Founded as a trio back in 2013 but joined by a fourth member in 2017, they perfected their craft by creating an impressive series of 25 mixtapes for Good Morning Toulouse and 6 other mixtapes for Cultiz magazine. In 2015 they dropped their first project 'Fragments', followed by 2016's 'Fortune' - the first in a new series of 9 musical enterprises.
Inspired by folks as diverse as Mononome, Roger Molls, Dilla, 9th Wonder, Nosaj Thing and their buddies of the Tour De Manège-label, the foursome have shown to have a keen ear for jazz-infused, cinematic pieces of instrumental hiphop - as reflected in their most recent effort 'La Note Bleue', and in this this excellent 'Blue Dream'-mix...
