On this latest installment of Smoke Breaks, we'd like to introduce you to young Israeli producer Top Shatta. The Philly native but currently Tel Aviv-based beatmaker focuses on sample-driven boom-bap and lo-fi hiphop, tapping into oldschool beatmaking traditions. Inspired by the likes of MF DOOM, 9th Wonder and a whole array of different influences, the producer also know as Shatta One transcends musical boundaries to shape his own sound.
Having released his 'Pilpel Haze'-mixtape a couple of weeks ago, he's currently working on his debut album with several local Israeli artists... While we wait on that to drop, we can give his 'Pepper Haze'-mix a listen... Enjoy!
