Skull Snaps was the brainchild of The Diplomats-bassist Samm Culley, drummer George Bragg and guitarist Ervan Waters, who also played together under the monikers Soul Three, Buzzy Bragg and All Dyrections. In 1973 they recorded the legendary George Kerr-produced 'Skull Snaps'-album, a record filled with infectious funky soultunes like the superb 'It's a New Day' - one of the most sampled drumbreaks in history. My favourite track on the album is the beautiful 'Didn't I Do It to You', enjoy!
